Just so you know, I set a goal for last year, it was a large goal. (Pun intended). I met that goal. I set a goal the year before as well. I struggled with that but met that goal too, believing at the time that I probably would only lose a bit of what I needed to do because I could not walk. Now I walk 20,000 steps a day. Last months monthly challenge has now become an every day need.
The big news, how much have I lost? Well, sorry, I'm not telling, not yet anyway, it is one of the tools I have used to actually get the weight off, if you run into me you can tell it is a lot, and I will tell you then. Only six people actually know the number. I have a smaller amount to lose now, and it is actually much harder because my body is used to what I am doing everyday. I want that to sink in a bit so my body catches up to the changes.
But as of today, I am adding 20 new exercises to challenge my body to keep going. Plus, I need more upper strength and some of the expercises are for that.
The biggest challenge was to be able to get my arms to work properly again. Most of you don't know, I struggled even holding a paint brush. As an artist that was a serious issue, I thought I would have to stop painting. That was emotionally draining and fearful.
But I took ahold of myself and have fixed that, new art is pouring out of me and my arms and hands work once again.
If you need motivation, you will find it here in my blog, I am going to start at the beginning and talk about all the bad stuff first that got me fat, and then how I reorganised my thoughts and my health and lifestyle.
Artists sit quite a bit and we forget about life around us. That was the first thing I did wrong, I did not plan out my day. ~ Cecile
