Hair Raising

Sometimes I use a good name to lead the viewer to a conclusion. This painting is a dance of two personalities. The hair is flying free, the women are happy. Is it mom and daughter? Is is grandmother and daughter? Is it mates? Or is it two friends?
Really, the androgynous artworks are for you to decide.
I often use different shades of black to represent power. This black in the artwork, is called Pavement Black, it has a softness to it because it is a faded black.
The two ladies, have purple in their faces. Purple represents royalty in this application. But not as in leaders, more like the important ones in the relationship. They make each other feel like queens.
Hair raising often is used to describe an argument, but here it is simply about joy. The joy of being with each other in the moment.
I put a video up on my facebook page in my reels that also shows the application of my art onto products. To make a living, I have to sell not only my original art, but #tshirts and #merchandise.
The term starving artist is true even for one such as myself who has multiple places to sell things. It still needs you, to purchase, even a small pin or a phone cover for me to pay my bills.
