Understanding VRM

VRM, or Voltage Regulator Module, is one of the most critical yet often overlooked components on a motherboard. Its main job is to regulate and deliver the correct voltage to the CPU, GPU, and other sensitive components. Without a reliable VRM, even the most powerful processor cannot perform consistently or safely.

What Is a VRM?

A VRM is a power conversion system that takes higher-voltage power from the power supply and converts it into lower, precise voltages required by processors. Modern CPUs and GPUs demand extremely stable power, and VRMs are designed to meet this requirement under both light and heavy workloads.
